Our friendly office staff will make your visit an enjoyable experience. 

Medical Insurance

We accept most insurances. The following insurances are accepted: most Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans, most Cigna plans, most United Healthcare plans, Medcost, Aetna, most Humana plans, Medicare, and most Medicare advantage plans. BCBS Blue Essentials can only be seen in our Little River, SC office. Our Little River South Carolina office is the only office where BCBS Blue Value is an In-Network provider; our North Carolina offices (Supply 1, Supply 2, and Whiteville) are Out-of-Network with BCBS Blue Value, and will be charged at the Out-of-Network rate.

If your primary insurance is a VA insurance, Tricare, or Medicaid plan, these are accepted at our, but we have to recieve a referral from the patient’s primary care doctor prior to making an appointment. South Carolina Medicaid is not accepted at any of our offices and North Carolina Medicaid must be seen in our Whiteville or Supply 1 & 2 locations. This includes Amerihealth, Healthy Blue, UHC Medicaid and  Wellcare Medicaid, Medicaid Advantage plans (Trillium and Carolina Complete) 

Insurances we do not accept are:

• AM Better
• All Brite
• Smart Health

• Plans purchased through the Marketplace (Cigna, UHC, Aetna, BCBS, or any Marketplace plan)

It is the responsibility of the patient to know if their insurance is in or out of network.

You must bring a physical copy of your insurance card to your initial appointment, and if your insurance changes, we require a physical copy of the updated insurance card as well.  If you are self-pay, it is a $275 charge to be collected upfront before your visit, and any additional services rendered will be charged to the patient at the end of that visit.  We understand most people have unforeseen circumstances and we will be as accommodating as possible.   

We use iSalus for our Electronic Medical Records. We are an independent practice and do not have access to the other provider portals. In this, there is an iSalus online portal in the works for patient use, and electronic paperwork that can be completed through iSalus. To obtain access to this portal or the electronic paperwork, you must call the office. 

Patient Records

Please bring all medical related materials to your appointment.  These include all x-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and reports.  We may have you sign a medical records release form to obtain all medically related information from other physician offices if you do not bring them to your appointment. Once seen in the office your referral doctor can request a consulation letter about your visit. 

Unless told otherwise, your lab/xray results will be discussed with you on your next appointment. If you were told you would be called please give us time to obtain results.  On occasion, the hospital and/or lab may accidently not send us your results.  If you were not called in a timely manner please call our office for your results.  If you do have an Xray/CT-please ask for a disk so we may view this with you at your next appointment.

Prescriptions

There are many prescription plans available and it is difficult for us to know what you may have to pay out of pocket.  If alarmed by the prescription cost by your pharmacist- please call us and we will be happy to prescribe something else for you so you can avoid a large prescription cost.

Appointments

We will try to see you on a timely basis.  Occasionally you may wait some time before seeing your provider. We are currently the only ENT in Brunswick County, and on occasion our doctors have to treat ER patients who have an emergency without an appointment. If you wait longer then expected for your appointment please see our staff to see how far we are behind and they will give you a time. We thank you for understanding and patience. 

We do not make same day appointments or accept walk-ins. Please be patient as we work you in to our schedule.   If you call one office and we do not answer-we may be busy with patients or on another line. Please leave a message or call another of our other offices. We typically will answer messages that day if we are in office, or within 1 day if after hours. If you experience an emergency after hours-please go to the Emergency room. If the emergency room doctors see fit they will page our on call provider, and you will be seen within 24-48 hours.
